In our opinion, the nearby Reform Kafé has been the best restaurant that has ever opened in Chiang Mai. So you can imagine how thrilled we were when we heard that they will be opening another, fully vegan, second branch. This new sister restaurant opened in late December 2017 and has lived up to and even exceeded our expectations entirely!

Goodsouls Kitchen offers so many new and exciting dishes. These include items such as a spicy cucumber and beetroot salad, grilled vegetable panini or gazpacho soup. They have the usual Thai dishes for dinner and all the western dishes offered from their Reform menu and more. For example, as well as their extremely popular mushroom burger this branch are also offering a quinoa burger, beet burger and many additional wraps as well. The potato and mushroom wrap is fantastic. To top it all off this branch is also offering a selection of vegan cakes and desserts!

All the dishes are very generously sized and taste wonderful. I am still getting through trying them all, but the ones I have tried have all been to die for. Many of the dishes cannot be found in any other restaurant in Chiang Mai. As of March 2018, they are now offering a breakfast menu starting right from 7.00 AM and sold throughout the day. We know of no restaurant in Chiang Mai that opens for this many hours a day, let alone a vegan one! The breakfasts range from cooked dishes such as scrambled tofu to chocolate smoothie bowls or cooked oats. These are all fabulous and extremely filling. One thing you can be absolutely sure of at Goodsouls is that they never skimp out on the portion sizes. Go hungry.

The restaurant is a very bright, modern and stylish building with a classy feel to it. It would make a great date night, birthday celebration etc. The owners are very welcoming and friendly and just love to make vegans (and non-vegans) happy by serving up the best dishes. Daniel, the owner, has been a vegetarian since birth.

Chiang Mai has needed a restaurant like this where we have a 100% vegan menu with so many choices with so much variety. Goodsouls Kitchen is a real winner and if you haven’t been to try it yet (or even if you have) you should probably stop everything you’re doing right now and go eat there. I’ll race you there.
